Skyline Middle School, opening for the 2026-27 school year, will bring together students from Wheeler and Capitol Hill Middle Schools. This state-of-the-art, brand new school was made possible by OKC voters saying "yes" to the 2022 OKCPS bond!

Founding Principal

Deserae Jackson, djackson@okcps.org 

Mrs. Jackson has served Oklahoma City Public Schools for 20 years. She led Wheeler Elementary through Pathway to Greatness as they became Wheeler Middle School and is excited about the transition to the opening of Skyline Middle. Deserae believes in fostering strong relationships between the community and the school in order to maintain trust and ultimately raise students who are ready to graduate and fulfill their purpose in society. She was named the 2022 secondary principal of the year and served as vice president on the Police Athletic League board of directors. Mrs. Jackson is ready to continue to lead the south side of OKCPS to a world class education in a brand new world class facility that our students and families deserve!
